This course fulfills 2 out of 10 hours of the Hawaii Real Estate Commission's continuing education requirement and prepares students for continued practice in Hawaii's changing real estate market. Students who complete the course will receive credit towards their CE requirements. The course covers the recent real estate related legislation -- bills that became law or were con sidered for passage in 2009 -- with the goal of keeping you fully appprised of the legislative decisions affecting your pract ice. (Updated in July by the instructor, David Catanzaro, this course goes beyond the standard material provided to real est ate schools [prior to the passage of many of these laws] by the Hawaii Real Estate Commission.) The course also addresses personal transactions by real estate licensees and their potential pit-falls.
